Local activities and progress

Guwa stores activity history, active and locked activities, custom activities, notes, moods, badges, streaks, goals, calendar history, onboarding state, and usage-limit counters on your device by default.

Photo memories

Optional photo memories remain local files on your device. Guwa does not upload photo files, image bytes, local photo paths, camera metadata, or gallery metadata through Account Backup. Removing the app or clearing its storage may permanently remove these local files.

Google Sign-In and authentication

If you choose Google Sign-In, Firebase Authentication processes your Google account identity so Guwa can identify your optional backup account and securely associate eligible services with you. Guwa does not receive your Google password.

Optional Account Backup

When Account Backup is enabled and you choose to use it, Guwa stores a progress snapshot in Firebase Cloud Firestore. A snapshot can include activity history, custom activities, badges, streaks, goals, and related app progress. Photo files and local photo paths are excluded. Backup access is restricted to the authenticated owner.

Purchases and Guwa Pro

Guwa may offer paid features through Google Play Billing. Google processes payment details. RevenueCat helps Guwa retrieve purchase and entitlement status, restore purchases, and associate Guwa Pro access with the current app user identity. Guwa does not receive your full payment-card details.

App Check and security

Firebase App Check and Google Play Integrity help Guwa distinguish legitimate app requests from abuse. These services may process device, application, and integrity signals according to their own privacy terms.

Promotion redemption

When you redeem a promotional code, Guwa sends the normalized code with your authenticated request to Firebase. Eligibility, rate limits, campaign capacity, and resulting entitlement status are verified securely. Guwa does not use promotion redemption to collect payment-card information.

Support communications

Messages sent to support are voluntary. They may contain your email address and any app version, device details, order ID, screenshots, or description you choose to provide. Do not send passwords, tokens, private keys, payment-card details, or App Check tokens.

Service providers

Guwa does not sell personal data. Google Play, Firebase, Google Sign-In, RevenueCat, and email providers may process limited information to distribute the app, authenticate users, secure requests, provide optional backup, restore purchases, redeem promotions, and answer support requests.

Retention and deletion

Local information remains until you clear Guwa storage or uninstall the app. Optional Account Backup remains until it is replaced or a verified deletion request is completed. Support messages are retained only as needed to respond, maintain records, prevent abuse, or satisfy legal obligations.

Guwa does not currently provide a complete in-app account-deletion control. Follow the account and data deletion instructions to remove local data or request removal of optional backup and related support data.
