Guwa data controls

Account and data deletion

Guwa is local-first and does not create a public activity profile. Local data, optional cloud backup, authentication access, support records, and Google Play subscriptions are separate and must be handled separately.

1. Remove local device data

Open Android Settings, find Guwa under Apps, and clear storage, or uninstall Guwa. This removes local activity history, notes, moods, streaks, badges, goals, custom activities, preferences, and local photo-memory files from that device. This action cannot be undone unless eligible progress was previously backed up.

2. Remove optional Account Backup data

If you used Account Backup, email support@guwa.app from the Google account used in Guwa with the subject Guwa Account Backup Deletion. We may ask you to verify account ownership before deleting the backup.

3. Remove authentication access

Signing out removes the active Guwa session from the device but does not automatically delete optional backup data. You can also review Guwa’s Google account access in your Google Account security settings. Request backup deletion separately when applicable.

4. Remove support records

To request removal of support correspondence where practical, email support@guwa.app with the subject Guwa Data Removal and enough information to locate your earlier request.

5. Manage Google Play subscriptions

Deleting Guwa, clearing local data, signing out, or deleting Account Backup data does not cancel a Google Play subscription. Manage or cancel subscriptions separately in Google Play under Payments & subscriptions.

Request timing

Verified requests are handled as soon as practical. We may retain limited records when required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or transaction history maintained by Google Play or RevenueCat.
